History

Thomas Riley High School Cyesis opened in 1975. We are one of two pregnant minor schools in LAUSD. Our school consists of pregnant and parenting middle school and high school students ranging in ages from 13 to 21. Data reflects an increased drop-out rate once girls leave school following delivery; therefore, students now remain enrolled and have an opportunity for a more supportive transition into motherhood and a more continuous focus on academic achievement. To achieve its vision, Thomas Riley High School encourages student growth through a wide range of A-G academic, extracurricular, enrichment, and support services with the goal that all students will be proficient and college and career-ready.
